TimeTick Readiness

Ready for your next audit or certification deadline?

TimeTick Readiness runs OCPP, load and security tests before you ship.

A firmware or backend release can break charging in ways your bench tests miss, and drivers find it first. TimeTick Readiness runs OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 test suites and checks security profiles. It also load-tests your CSMS (charging backend) with thousands of virtual charge points. Each test suite run ends with a PDF report.

What you can test

Three things you can test today

Protocol compliance

Run OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 test suites modelled on the official OCTT set. Each run ends with a PDF report.

Backend load

Connect thousands of virtual charge points to your CSMS at once. Our largest customer test ran 40,000+ in parallel.

Security profiles

Check TLS, certificates and charger authentication before an audit or a launch in a new market.

How it connects

From a URL to a report in three steps

1

Connect

Point TimeTick at the WebSocket URL of your staging or test CSMS. Production only if you choose to.

2

Choose

Pick a ready-made OCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1 test suite.

3

Run

Run anything from one virtual charge point to tens of thousands and get a PDF report.

Testing a physical charger? Point it at TimeTick, which acts as its backend on your bench. You don't need a CSMS for that.

Read the case study
“It has been a pleasure working with the TimeTick team. Their attention to detail and rapid response to implementing new features based on feedback has left an impression of quality and competence. The TimeTick platform itself has let us greatly improve both the speed and thoroughness of the tests we perform in the development stage of our chargers. The user interface is intuitive, the capabilities are vast and it is constantly being updated with various quality of life improvements that make it that much easier to use. We look forward to the evolution of TimeTick moving forward and are happy to be a part in their mission.”

FAQ

Questions about TimeTick Readiness

Do I need to change anything in my CSMS?
No code changes. Virtual charge points connect over your CSMS's usual OCPP WebSocket URL, like any charger in the field. If your CSMS only accepts known charge point IDs, add the virtual ones the way you would add new chargers.
How long does a test suite run take?
It depends on the suite you pick and how many virtual charge points run it. You get the PDF report as soon as the run finishes.
Is this the same as OCTT certification?
No. OCTT is the Open Charge Alliance's official test tool, and certificates are issued through accredited labs. TimeTick's suites follow the OCTT test set, so you can fix issues before certification.
